Reflective Post #11
One of my friends who is a teacher in Oregon shared with me a flyer she ran across from the Northwest Educational Technology Consortium (I've linked the online version here) which shares with parents suggestions for "5 effective ways for young children to use technology". I think this is an interesting resource to share with parents who want to teach their children ways to use technology other than surfing the web, playing apps on a phone, or using a social media of some kind or another. Many of these suggestions could be used to help students to develop skills in using technology that can help them be prepared for school and creating things on their own. This is also an interesting idea for teachers who are stuck on a way to integrate technology where they are limited by budgets or time.
